American Black Elderberry is a native fruit‐bearing bush that prefers well‐drained loamy soil even though it can tolerate poor and wet soil. However, it cannot tolerate drought. American Black Elderberry prefers full Sun and can thrive with at least 1 in. (25mm.) of water per week. And it requires cross‐pollination.
