As we have started to identify and learn more about the plants growing on our two acres we have photographed some of the flora in an effort to educate ourselves and others about native plants. In doing so we have included common plant information about each one and also the traditional uses. We know that the varied and diverse native tribes that lived here long before our arrival knew much more about native plants than we do or may ever know. It also allows us to honor and respect the indigenous knowledge of flora that has been growing here for thousands or more years. If you are interested in plants, have children, teach, etc. purchase a poster and help to educate others about the benefits of Indigenous or native plants and their traditional uses.
