Greenville, KY

Harvested Winged/Dwarf Sumac berries and various varieties of Goldenrod. Froze them.

Broadcasted Oat Groat seeds in the northern area to provide additional food for the fungi. I will move the Aronias a little more to the east this Fall.

Emptied out the tea "mash"—from the tea infusion that I made on Friday—near the large barren area. Dug up and potted up two Eastern Redcedars, one Loblolly Pine, and two Ebony Spleenworts.

In the southern forest I looked for the Marshmallow but could not recall its exact location. I did find one of the Pawpaws and it is looking good. I see a lot of flowering plants in the southern forest too! I dug a hole and put in a Blue Adirondack potato. I will check on it next Spring to see if it does start to grow new potatoes. Also I broadcasted the Stinging Nettle seeds I harvested yesterday morning, in the southern forest. I will collect more seeds this year to broadcast in various places.

I read aloud the poem Praise the Rain as I walked down to the southern forest. I placed it and another paper with wildflower seeds along the forest edge. I will cover next weekend with soil.
