I saw three (3) quail in the front of the Big House as I came around the bend. I tried to photograph them but they flew away before my camera was ready. Harvested seeds from the Pineapple Weed.
Dispersed the seeds that I have had in my car for one or two years near the large barren area. Broadcasted the Pineapple Weed seeds that were collected near the Aronias and elsewhere in the north. Transplanted the American Hackberry north of the northern brush pile in a sunny location. Transplanted the Red Mulberry near the other Red Mulberries and added tags to two of them. The one I transplanted today like one of the other ones from last time I don’t think is alive so it may not survive. I dug up a small Sassafras tree and transplanted along the northern forest edge. I took a cutting from one of the willow trees and am taking with me to help get cuttings rooted. One of the Sassafras branches fell off and I put it in the wetland area to see if will re-grow from a "cutting."
Around the potatoes I sowed Anaheim Hot Pepper, Serrano Tampequino Hot Pepper, Hungarian Yellow Hot Wax Hot Pepper, and Nasturtium Mix. Around the ginger I sowed Nasturtium Mix, Lettuce Leaf Green Basil, Serrano Tampequino Hot Pepper, and Anaheim Hot Pepper. Around the area where Ajani had added soil and I planted Cilantro and Carrots I sowed Anaheim Hot Pepper and Nasturtium Mix.
Near the southern brush pile in a wetland area I sowed Kolb’s Gem Watermelon. To the north of where I broadcasted the corn I broadcasted Louisiana Green Velvet Okra. I dispersed Stowell’s Evergreen Corn, Cherokee Long Ear Small Corn, and Black Jewell Popcorn seeds in the corn area. Near the Black Raspberry I broadcasted Cocozelle Bush Squash Zucchini, Yamato Asian Cucumber, California Wonder Sweet Pepper, and Ozark Pink Tomato.
On my way out I saw a frog near the "entrance."
Ajani and I were interviewed by a Nashville based magazine in the early afternoon.
