Smudged myself. Harvested fallen bark from Shagbark Hickories. Collected some of the outer shells and brown Sweet Gum balls to use as Fire Starters.

Removed unwanted vegetation. Sowed Virginia Redskin Peanuts around Nut Trees as well as in the Southern Brush Pile and with the Garlic in the Northern Brush Pile.

Broadcasted a mix of Organic Buckwheat Groats, Organic Brown Flax, and Caraway Seeds in the Southern Pile and elsewhere in the South.

Smudged a portion of the perimeter of our acreage and the interior until my Smudge Stick had more to burn. Buried the unburned ends.

In the area where I had tried unsuccessfully to grow Corn I sowed Red Eye Cowpeas (saved from 2025) and an unknown variety of saved Sunflowers. The Sunflowers were also sown in the Northern Brush Pile and elsewhere in the North along with the Red Eye Cowpeas. Also I left to breakdown over time Organic, Raw Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil—the Fat is something the Soil Microbes need and want. This was done before the heavy down pour. After the down pour I broadcasted an unknown variety of Amarnth and Sugar Drip Sorghum.

In the Southern Brush Pile after the rain ended I sowed Long Standing Cilantro and saved Marshmallow Seeds. With the other Herbs I sowed German Chamomile in between the Yucca and Greek Oregano.

In the Northern Brush Pile I sowed and/or broadcasted the following: Uzbek Golden Carrot, Danvers Half Long Carrot, Gniff Carrot, Green Arrow Shelling Pea, Calabrese Broccoli, Sacred Basil, Burgundy Amarnth, Yellow Perfection Tomato, Big Rainbow Tomato, Florence Fennel, French Breakfast Radish, White Icicle Radish, Black Mustard, Chioggia Beet, Black Cumin, Copenhagen Market Cabbage, Garden Sage, and Rosemary.
