Greenville, KY

Harvested Loblolly Pine needles and tree branches.

Collected Illinois Bundleflower seeds. Put out decaying branches in southern brush pile to deter deer from eating the plants that I am trying to get established.

Transplanted Black Locusts in various places to add Nitrogen back to the soil near Autumn Olives to hopefully create a balance.

Transplanted Aaron’s Rod near the two Autumn Olives I cut back earlier this year. The Smooth Beardtongue and Eastern Whiteflower Beardtongue were transplanted in the eastern meadow, Wild Kidney Bean on the eastern forest edge, the Blue Wild Indigo and White False Indigo in the open areas south of the large barren area, the American Beautyberry and Carolina Buckthorn not far from the Spicebush, the False Indigo Bush and Hazel Alder along the western creek bank and Cattail Sedge on the North side of the entrance where the water flows.

Put food scraps in the northern brush pile.
